Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine
When a child's life is in danger after an injury or from an illness, the quality and timing of care received can deliver that child to a healthy outcome. The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, part of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics, trains medical students, residents, and fellows in the practice of emergency medicine through the classroom and providing care. Realizing that children require specialized care, the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine seeks, through research, to find the most effective training for medical professionals and the best and most compassionate methods of care for young patients.
